RSVP Deadline for Sen. Breslin -- Monday, 2/9



Dear Friend of the Roundtable --

Please RSVP (ASAP!) for next week's Albany Roundtable Luncheon -- Wednesday, February 11, 2009 featuring New York State Senator Neil D. Breslin (D-Albany).

Senator Breslin was elected to the state Senate in 1996 and Chairs the Senate Insurance Committee. He also serves on the Senate Agriculture, Banks, Codes, Education, Finance, Judiciary and Labor Committees. He is a member of the Executive Committee and is chair of the NAIC/NCOIL Liaison Committee (National Association of Insurance Commissioners / National Conference of Insurance Legislators).

Neil has been a community leader for many years. His involvement in civic and social areas in Albany includes 15 years as a board member of Arbor House, a residence facility for women in need. He has been the attorney for St. Anne's Institute in Albany and has done work for Hospitality House, the International Center and Hope House, a drug treatment facility. Further, Neil was Vice President of the Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless from 1994 to 1998. He is an active member of the New York State Bar Association and has served as a lecturer on real estate law.

The buffet lunch begins at 12:00 noon and concludes at 1:00 p.m. It is held in the third floor former court room of the Old Federal Building, now part of SUNY Plaza at the foot of State Street. Albany Symphony Orchestra has provided a pair of tickets to the final show of the 2008-2009 Season at the Palace Theatre on Saturday May 9 at 7:30 p.m. It's the world premiere of The River, a new symphony for chorus and orchestra by Daron Hagen, featuring Albany Pro Musica with the ASO. Everyone who attends the Roundtable Luncheon may enter the drawing, you must be present to win.
